GlassWear, etc. is the collaboration of Edie Fisher and Steve Wernecke. We do all of our stained glass,
kiln-forming, and beadmaking work in our Edinboro, Pennsylvania studio, which is also the primary location for
our classes.
Edie Fisher became captivated by the beauty of stained glass in the 90s and taught herself the arts of beadmaking
and glass fusing. Since then, she has taken intensive classes from
some of the most respected members of the warm-glass community. Her interests have expanded
to include custom-designed glass for incorporation in jewelry. Her special passion is dichroic (color-shifting)
glass, and a signature of her work is the eye-catching sparkle that is so uniquely dichroic.
Steve Wernecke, a Pennsylvania transplant from California, began working with stained glass in 1985.
Through both classes and self teaching, Steve has become an accomplished
glass artist who uses copper foil and traditional lead came methods to create stained glass panels,
windows, lamps, and other 3D forms. He also has experience with glass mosaics and the production of
kiln-formed glass objects and jewelry.
