This single-session short course gives students the experience of making glass beads in a torch. It teaches fewer decorating techniques and provides half the amount of torch time as our Lampworking 101 offering. It is designed for students who would like to try beadmaking with less time commitment.
 
Class Content   Tools of the trade
Working safely with a torch and hot glass
Use of a Hot Head torch and MAPP gas
Making round beads
Pulling stringer (fine threads of glass)
Simple techniques for decorating beads
Annealing
Prerequisites   None
Class Size   2 - 4 students
Class Sessions   One 3-hour session

Tools and Materials   GlassWear, etc. provides materials and use of all tools needed for this class.
Class Fee   $75 per student payable before or at the class session.
A $25 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space.
