This introductory, six-hour class exposes students to both kilnworking and glass beadmaking techniques, making it an ideal sampler for people who know they'd like to do something with warm glass but aren't sure what. Neither kilnworking nor beadmaking is covered in as much depth as in our Kilnworking 101 or Lampworking 101 class. No prior glass experience is required.

Glass compatibility
What happens when glass heats/cools
Kilnworking tools
Slumping and fusing projects
Use of a Hot Head torch and MAPP gas
Making round beads
Pulling stringer (fine threads of glass)
Simple techniques for decorating beads
Prerequisites   None
Class Size   2 - 4 students
Class Sessions   Two 3-hour sessions

Class Fee   $150 per student payable before or at the first class session.
