This intermediate class teaches students how to create a stained glass panel using the traditional lead came method of assembly. This is the technique typically used to fabricate church windows and other work that will be exposed to the elements. It is also the method of choice for panels that are in or near doors and other sources of impact shock.

Prerequisites   Prior glass cutting experience required
Class Size   2 - 4 students
Class Sessions   Four 2-1/2 hour sessions plus "homework" dependent on complexity of student project
Upcoming Classes   Class dates and times are by arrangement. Please call or e-mail to add your name and availability to our list.
Tools and Materials   GlassWear, etc. provides the flux required to solder lead and use of grinders and soldering irons during class sessions.

Students must provide their own glass cutting, lead working, and soldering tools as well as the glass, lead, solder, and putty required to complete their projects.

A list of required tools and alternative suppliers is mailed to students two weeks before the first class session.

Class Fee   $100 per student payable before or at the first class session.
A $30 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space.
